Coastal Site Investigations
Fugro Engineering Services Limited is one of the world's leading providers of nearshore coastal site investigations for infrastructure
developments throughout the UK and overseas. Projects generally involve the use of purpose built jack-up platforms to provide a safe
stable environment for both drilling and insitu testing. We are experienced in all drilling and in situ testing methods performed for
ground investigation.

We are well equipped with marine plant and equipment to undertake surveys using either floating craft or static jack up platforms,
chosen to suit the location, environment and timescale of the proposed investigation. The skills and experience of our operators combined
with the availability of the wide choice of marine plant and equipment enable us to offer a first class and expert service to suit
all requirements.
Investigation techniques ranging from vibrocoring, grab sampling and seabed CPT for near seabed investigations to cable percussion,
wireline rotary and down hole CPT for projects requiring greater depths of investigation. Our capabilities allow drilling depths well
in excess of 100 metres below seabed to be achieved.
All marine plant can be provided with Fugro's own high precision (centimetre accuracy) satellite positioning system for setting out
and record survey of investigation positions irrespective of their distance from shore.
As part of an overall marine survey package, we are able to offer hydrographic and geophysical surveys in conjunction with other
Fugro Group companies.
Recent contracts have been performed for a wide range of projects including:
- offshore wind farms
- bridges
- developments for ports, harbours, jetties, docks and marinas
- long sea outfalls
- tunnels and tunnel crossings
- pipelines
